Hirshorn1Hirschhorn House

This well-constructed CornerStone home is perched on one of Lake Tomahawk’s most pristine lakes. Mr. Joel Hirschhorn chose one of our most popular lake front home plans (The RidgeStone) to fit the contour of his lot which included a gradual slope to the water. Although this home is based off the RidgeStone plan, Mr. Hirschhorn was able to customize several facets of his home to meet his own set of personal specifications. A three car attached garage with plenty of room for all the toys one needs in the north woods was one of his first “must” haves.

The floor plan introduced the chalet style home feel allowing him  1,595 square feet of living space on the main floor comprised of an open concept great room highlighted with a cultured stone fire place, vaulted ceiling, dining room and kitchen all positioned to enjoy the beautiful lake front view. This home has two bedrooms on the first floor, a shared common bathroom off the main hallway and laundry. The spacious master bedroom has a master bath and closet sure to please any lady of the house. A 16’ x 9’ screen porch is positioned to the front of the home off the master bedroom to once again capture the main theme of this home “the lake view.”

The fully enclosed screen porch features an insect free environment to enjoy your coffee in the morning or company in the afternoon. The 638 square foot second floor loft features a large third bedroom with full bathroom and open loft overlooking the water and front yard fire pit.

Mr. Hirschhorn has family and friends visiting up north often so we worked together with Brian Sauke, our in house home designer to design a basement floor plan which included an additional two bedrooms, full bathroom, large family room with four large windows to capture the focal point of his home’s lakeside view.

This CornerStone home was constructed in 2007 and it’s been my privilege to be able to build Joel and his family the ideal Northwood’s retreat he can now call “home”.
