Honey Rock Chapel
A unique hybrid construction project on Long Lake in Three Lakes, WI that started in the fall of 2012 with completion in time for the first camping classes in the spring of 2013. A hybrid in that CornerStone Custom Builders acted as the general contractor throughout the project but only supplied construction services to complete the exterior and through drywall completion on the interior. The construction team at Honey Rock, as well as service volunteers, completed the remainder by installing paneling, doors, trim and the rest of the interior finishings. This flexibility in services, as well as being the areas leader in construction, set CornerStone apart from others contractors competing for this project.
Some of the unique features of this project:
- Half log exterior with full log corners and gable appliqués
- Full scribed log entrance columns and trusses
- 2 ½” thick cut King Quarry fieldstone on the exterior and interior fireplace
- Massive 29’ ceiling height in the Chapel
- Interior log trusses bringing the rustic outdoors to the interior
